Qualifications and Requirements

The Journal of Smart Algorithms and Applications (JSAA) welcomes applications from qualified researchers, academics, and professionals who wish to contribute to the journal as Editorial Board Members, Associate Editors, Reviewers, Research Collaborators, or Expert Contributors.

Selection is based on academic qualifications, research experience, publication record, and demonstrated expertise relevant to the journal's scope.

Editorial Board Member

Applicants are expected to:

  • Hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Have at least four years of research, academic, or professional experience.
  • Have a strong publication record in journals related to the journal's scope (normally five or more peer-reviewed publications).
  • Demonstrate expertise in their research area.
  • Be committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and editorial quality.

Preference may be given to applicants holding the rank of Associate Professor, Professor, or equivalent.

Associate Editor

Applicants are expected to:

  • Hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent doctoral degree.
  • Have at least five years of research or editorial experience.
  • Have an established publication record (normally ten or more peer-reviewed publications).
  • Demonstrate recognized expertise in the journal's subject areas.
  • Be willing to oversee the peer review process and support editorial decision-making.

Preference may be given to applicants with previous editorial experience.

Reviewer

Applicants are expected to:

  • Hold a Ph.D. or be an advanced doctoral candidate with relevant research experience.
  • Have at least two years of research or professional experience.
  • Have published at least two peer-reviewed articles in a related field.
  • Be able to provide objective, constructive, and timely peer reviews.
  • Adhere to the journal's ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.

Previous peer review experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Research Collaborator

Applicants are expected to:

  • Be a Master's student, Ph.D. candidate, postdoctoral researcher, or academic researcher.
  • Have research interests aligned with the journal's scope.
  • Have participated in scholarly research activities.
  • Have published or be actively preparing research for publication.
  • Be committed to academic collaboration and scientific integrity.

Previous publications are considered an advantage but are not mandatory for early-career researchers.

Expert Contributor

Applicants are expected to:

  • Possess relevant academic, industrial, or professional expertise.
  • Have at least two years of professional or research experience.
  • Demonstrate recognized knowledge in their area of specialization.
  • Have publications, technical reports, patents, or significant professional achievements relevant to their field.
  • Be willing to contribute to seminars, workshops, conferences, special issues, or other academic activities organized by the journal.

Professional experience and demonstrated expertise may be considered in place of an extensive publication record where appropriate.
